Another successful event! But this time it's more than the usual. St. Luke's Alumni, Trinity Alumni, St. Andrew's Seminary Alumni and Episcopal Asia Ministry has come to end a "diaspora of the Saints". This integrated reunion brought about another page of our history. Congratulations to the newly elected officers of SLANF and kudos to the outgoing ones! I enjoyed being a part of this gathering. |

| I'm glad we have this message board. If you read Tessie Micua Rosario's note last August, some of class'69 are meeting in Orlando Ja.15, 2010. It's not too late for the others. Tessie and I live in Jacksonville Florida and work in same hospital. We are both in management, she in Diagnostic Cardiology and I am in the OR. Life is good here but retirement is beckonning, though we are not ready to let go yet! We hope to see you in San Diego this summer. | |||

I am still married with same husband for 43 years. I am raising three fantastic grand children from my oldest daughter. I am still working after our horrible financial set back in 1990. We lost everything to the point of being evicted from where we live. Aside from the children I plan to teach in a school of nursing. It is so difficult to get RN job w/o training in Med-Surg, ICU, ER and CCU. I am in Psychiatry. Oh ya I forgot there is age discrimination for older nurses. On the Joy part, I was luckily nominated in 100 Filipina Influential Women in America. I hope I get selected please publish my email I need to hear from my classmates. |

I didn't know that we have a website for the St. Luke's nurses alumni! I am from the batch of 1997 SYZERS and really proud of it! I do believe and support the idea of promoting nursing ties. I moved to Arizona five years ago and am glad to hear that we have a California based foundation. Hi Melanie and Magis Batch 2008, Thank you for the very wonderful time we had at the Centennial Reunion. The presence of your batch and of the New millenium grads was one of the highlights of the reunion. I really loved watching all of you prepare on Thursday night. The stage, the fashion show, the program, the reception and registration line and everything where you put your young minds and touch was truly admirable. You were all beautiful and the boys were very handsome in their barongs during the dinner dance. Watching you guys brought some nostalgia, back to the days when we were young and not quite twenty. Between the business, the apos, the remodelling currently taking place in the house, etc., I have been like a spinning toy that I've been unable to do anything else. QUESTION: What are the steps that a nurse in the Philippines needs to take to come to the the U.S.?
